Homemade: Udon in chicken broth with tofu and kale

Here’s further proof of my cooking skills (or lack thereof)! Inspired and somewhat ashamed of today’s lunchtime conversation where I was frowned upon for eating out 7 days a week, nearly 3x a day, I decided to cook a lil’ somethin’ somethin’ at home just to see how that’d feel.

Voila: a super bland soup made by boiling chicken broth, adding two packs of udon, a bag of washed kale and a box of medium tofu in.

The only taste there was came from the chicken stock, so you could say this was meant to bring out each ingredient’s natural flavor.

In the end, it did its job quite well (filling our bellies and killing our appetites all at once)!
