Another lunch idea in Central — Mano Cafe at L Place has this salad bar where you can stuff your salad box with as much as you can, for just HK$98.

For those dining in, this translates to ONE visit to the salad bar (recalling those bygone days of the Pizza Hut salad bar — ahh, memories…).

Mix of veggies and meat

The selection is quite good with everything is presented in little silver bowls. On my visit, there was also a Mexican(?) quinoa salad to choose from and some hummus too.

A pre-mixed salad and dressings at the end.

My only complaint is that as everything is sitting out for the entire lunch service it doesn’t taste as fresh as it might’ve been if the ingredients were kept in a fridge/cooled area. Also, since it’s open-air and laid out along the bar, I noticed a pesky fly circling the food a bit, although this is nothing too big to be concerned about.

For masters of one-time salad bar visits, it’s a must-try!
