Clean Beauty: Miller Harris fragrance brand opens in Hong Kong

Scent-sational news for scent lovers – cult London perfumer Miller Harris has opened its first store in Hong Kong.

Miller Harris in Hong Kong

Miller Harris was founded in 2000 by independent perfumer Lyn Harris, who is renowned as the first classically trained “nose” in Britain. The brand is known for its contemporary, bohemian approach to fragrance, taking inspiration from “the less obvious” and telling stories with their scents.

Wondering what exactly the “less obvious” is? Well, they’ve got a trio of fragrances inspired by Graham Greene’s 1930s novel Brighton Rock (Blousy, Violet Ida and Brighton Rock), whilst their perfume Craft & Glamour was created in collaboration with The Royal Opera House as a tribute to their behind-the-scenes artisans.

Meanwhile, their latest collection, Forage, was inspired by the concept of urban foraging, with Miller Harris working with foragers to seek out scents and flavours that grow wild in London’s green spaces.

With very few mainstream cruelty-free perfume brands around, we’re also pretty impressed with their green credentials.

Cruelty-free and vegan

Miller Harris is completely cruelty-free and vegan, with zero animal-derived ingredients found in their formulations. Their products are free from parabens, phthalates, formaldehydes and artificial colourants too.

Miller Harris’ first stand-alone boutique in Hong Kong is located in Tsim Sha Tsui’s Harbour City – each of their stores is inspired by a “muse” with Hong Kong’s “The Fashionista” producing suitably stylish interiors – whilst their perfumes are also available to purchase in-person at Sephora Hong Kong in IFC.
