The Ordinary’s two flagship Hong Kong stores are located in Causeway Bay’s Times Square and Sha Tin’s New Town Plaza. With the dizzying array of acids, molecules, retinoids, antioxidants, hydrators and oils to choose from, newcomers to The Ordinary might be best with one of the starter kits available exclusively at the Hong Kong stores; The No-Brainer Set features the brand’s Natural Moisturising Factors + HA, Granactive Retinoid 2% Emulsion and Buffet serum, whilst The Daily Set includes the Squalene Cleanser, Hyaluronic Acid 2% +B5 and Natural Moisturising Factors + HA.
The Ordinary’s entire range is cruelty-free, and features zero (deep breath) parabens, sulphates, mineral and animal oils, methylchloroisothiazolinone, methylisothiazolinone, coal tar dyes, formaldehyde, mercury and oxybenzone. The majority of their products are also vegan, with many gluten, nut, silicone and alcohol-free too; each of the product pages on their website features a clear and simple key explaining exactly what is and isn’t in their formulation.
