Inside Scoop: The Biology of Stress with Joint Dynamics

Overworked, chronically stressed, chronically elevated stress hormones, insulin resistant, cortisol resistant, anxiety, sleep deprived, inflammation, and more. These are now common discussions in the 24/7 world in which we live in. It would be an accurate statement to say that if we want to avoid stress then perhaps we have been born in the wrong era!

Research shows time and again the corrosive effect stress has on our health and our relationships. However stress is also a necessary element for growth.

With so much press around stress it is easy to feel confused at the contradictory nature of life in a busy city full of people ambitious to be successful and at the same time not sacrifice their health.

In our latest Inside Scoop we discuss the biology of stress – the good the bad and the ugly, the benefits of meditation leading to a discussion on what can we do consistently to manage life in a fast paced city like Hong Kong, and also take a look into the expanding world and beneficial applications of CBD (Cannabidiol – derived from hemp).

Speakers for the event Tuesday evening December 10 – doors open 7pm for 7.30pm start.

IMI – psychologist Karen Lau

Ikigai – Gianni Melwani on meditation

Matt Reid from Reset CBD as a POP UP/product sponsor and presentation
