Organic, low-fat, gluten-free — ifΒ these buzz words make you drool, you’re gonna love The Cakery. Set up by ex-bankerΒ Shirley Kwok, the healthy Hong Kong bakery has two lines of products: organic cakes and cookies, and guilt-free cupcakes that are low in refined sugar in gluten-, wheat- and dairy-free variations.

I’ve had my share of ‘healthy’ desserts and they’re definitely not easy to pull off, but judging by the pictures alone, The Cakery seems to be doing a great job (yes, a taste test is in order). Using healthy ingredients such as red date, figs, chia seed, carrots and pumpkin, the cupcakes definitely have a lot of justification factors.

After their successful pop-up at The Landmark in April, they’ll be opening an actual shop there and launching another pop-up at Pacific Place from now till Jan 2017 at L2.
