HealthyHKG’s Wellness Day Experience at Fivelements Habitat Hong Kong

Our custom ‘Wellness Day’ consisted of a Barre Bootcamp, Bali Usada Muscle Release treatment and a 3-course plant-based lunch at Sakti Elixir. Here’s what we thought:

“Fivelements is truly an urban sanctuary in the middle of busy Times Square, and you really get a sense of calm the moment you walk in. I really enjoyed Sonya’s Barre Bootcamp class, which definitely got my heart rate up with all the cardio intervals thrown in. After the class, I showered and headed to the spa for the Bali Usada Muscle Release treatment.

Starting with a foot soak with fresh slices of orange and lime squeezed in, I have to say that I really felt like I was transported to Bali where the vibe was totally chill and zen – something that’s usually quite hard to find in Hong Kong. Throughout the massage, I was also really impressed with the therapist’s technique, as she knew exactly how much pressure to apply so that the massage was deep and effective, but not painful.

After the massage, I got dressed and headed to Sakti Elixir for my three-course lunch. I ordered the kale salad to start, curry laksa as a main and chocolate mousse to finish, and was shocked at how large the portions were (in a good way)! In fact, I couldn’t even finish the dessert, but I wasn’t uncomfortably full either. Everything tasted extremely fresh and filling, and I definitely want to return again to try the other dishes (Sakti Elixir is open to non-members of Fivelements).

All in all, I had a great time at Fivelements Habitat and would definitely choose to spend another afternoon (or full day) there. I highly recommend their ‘Wellness Days’ for anyone looking for a healthy escape from the hectic pace of life in Hong Kong.”—Erica Fong

(Note: The spa does not currently offer massage treatments for men, and we were told that men can only get foot massages, if anything.)
