Shek Kee Kitchen (石記廚房) is a popular Cantonese homestyle restaurant in Tin Hau quite close to the MTR station (A1 exit). It’s quite low-key in terms of appearance but always full of regular customers, which can only mean one thing: the food is damn good!
Bad news if you’re on a special diet, but the good news is, they still have a few dishes that won’t pop your buttons. They are the steamed fish with black bean sauce and the spinach in tomato broth (and minced pork, which I could’ve done without).
Psst…for those not on a diet be sure to get their claypot dishes, sweet and sour pork, meat loaf, double boiled soups, etc. which are all extremely good (but greasy and fat). Tip: Best saved for a cheat day!
