Located right underneath the mid-level escalators on Hollywood Road, French American Bistro (F.A.B.) serves a range of French and American comfort food like deli sandwiches, burgers, salads, etc. that’s actually not too bad tasting (for SoHo).

I’ve been wanting to try their amazing-looking salads for a while but always got tempted by their lunch sets (which are much cheaper — salads are HK$108 and up while lunch sets are the same price with a starter included).

Here’s a recent dish from their lunch set — the roasted red snapper with broccoli and broccoli puree:

The snapper was quite meaty (read: tough) so don’t expect soft silky flesh, but overall, it was a pretty good no-carb lunch when paired with a chilled carrot soup to start. Will definitely be back for a salad next time!
