For whatever reason, you don’t really ever see self-serve salad bars in Hong Kong. I can imagine why — hygiene, messiness, queues, etc. but in Bangkok, they can be found quite readily at the upscale supermarkets like Central Food Hall and Gourmet Food Hall.
The one I love most is at Siam Paragon. Just look at all the colours. Everything is always super stocked, clean, organised and fresh — it’s amazing. And it’s never crowded. You just get a box, pick what you want, get someone to weigh it, and then go pay. My salads usually cost something like 135 THB which is something crazy like 30 HKD. It’s SO easy to be healthy there!
If it’s not enough for you, they also have a hot foods section that you can pick and choose what you want too, as well as a soup station, and many other ready-to-eat items that will make it hard to choose. Happy eating!
